Angel Collins
Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) Scholar
Angel Collins is a Louis Stokes Alliances for Minority Participation (LSAMP) scholar and a senior Animal Science major from Herndon, Virginia. She is currently an undergraduate research assistant in a clinical pathology lab at the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine. Her current research involves training an existing diagnostic tool (MALDI-TOF MS) on how to recognize circulating tumor cells using a canine melanoma cell line. Angel will be graduating a year early this May and attending vet school in the fall. She is also involved in several extracurricular activities, including the Pre-Veterinary Medical Association, Scientistas, Team Tennis League, and Kappa Kappa Gamma.
