Renard "Monte" Jenkins

Monte Jenkins, a junior in Material Science Engineering, participated in MAOP's 2026 Summer Research Internship Program. Monte's project involved examining the effect of density grading on compressive mechanical properties of polypropylene lattices structures. An active member on campus, Monte is a part of Virginia Tech's Chi Alpha. He is also a peer leader for the Center of Engineering Excellence and Discovery. Keep up the good work, Monte!
